The indicator system according to DIN EN 11140-1 class 5 is to monitor the sterilization cycles at 121°C (250°F) and/or 134°C (273°F).

Place the steam sensor into the sterilization chamber with the instrument load. Start the appropriate sterilization cycle. After completion of the sterilization cycle, remove the steam sensor from the sterilization chamber and verify the color change of the indicator.
Accurate sterilization cycle: The indicator exchanges its completely from light blue to violet/pink.
Inaccurate sterilization cycle: The indicators color does not change, completely or change at all.
Separate the steam sensor at the perforation, and remove the adhesive lm from the bar code side. Paste the indicator into the sterilization-logbook (Stock Nr. 810001). Completely ll out the sterilization sheet and discard the leftover steam indicator.
