A single use control system that monitors the sterilization cycles at 121°C (250°F) and/or 134°C (273°F) for complex sterile or hollow medical instruments in steam sterilizers with fractionated pre-vacuum (category B).

Place the SMU-LC in the sterilization chamber with the instrument load. Start the appropriate sterilization cycle. Once the sterilization cycle is completed, remove the SMU-LC from the sterilization chamber using the tearoff tab. Let the SMU-LC briefl y cool down then open the SMU-LC using the tearoff tab and verify the color change of the indicator located behind it.
Accurate Sterilization cycle: complete color change of the indicator from blue to black.
Inaccurate sterilization cycle: incomplete color change of the indicator, blue, dark blue or cyan (blue-green).
Remove the label from the SMU-LC and paste it into the sterilization-logbook (order Nr. 810001). Completely fi ll out the sterilization sheet and discard the indicator and SMU-LC encasement.
